To begin, it is essential to understand their operating principle: they consist of a hydraulic cylinder, a support frame, and a die set. The plunger of the main cylinder connects to the die, while the ends of the pipe are secured to the support frame; the cylinder then exerts force to bend the pipe to the desired angle. These machines offer numerous advantages, including ease of operation and the ability to handle large-diameter pipes.

Several aspects should be considered:
1. The hardness of the die base and the die itself is crucial for future operational reliability. If the die base hardness falls below HRC 60 or the die hardness below HRC 50, the quality of the hose crimping will be compromised.
2. Measure key equipment parameters: Run the machine without a load and touch the die base segments; any noticeable vibration indicates a defective product.
3. Install the dies and crimp a sample fitting, then measure the crimped fitting using calipers or a micrometer. Roundness and taper should ideally be within 0.1 mm to be considered excellent quality.
4. Check the uniformity of the eight-segment die base and the alignment (flushness) of the dies. High-quality machines feature specific controls and adjustments for these two factors, whereas inferior machines often fail to regulate these parameters.
