How should pipe dimensions be controlled during the pipe bending process?

We know that fully automatic pipe bending machines are used for bending pipes. Achieving scientific theoretical backing and improving economic efficiency involves considerations such as mold design, the adjustment of bending data, the selection of pipe material, diameter, and wall thickness, and the control of issues like cracking or wall wrinkling during processing. Before bending, one must consider the pipe length and the sequence of operations—such as threading before bending. Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe must meet national standards; otherwise, it is highly prone to collapsing or flattening. While galvanized pipes are categorized into cold-galvanized and hot-dip galvanized types, the cold-galvanized variety has been phased out, whereas the hot-dip galvanized type remains permitted for use under current national guidelines. How is the length of a bent pipe measured on an automatic bending machine? After bending, the length of the outer curved surface increases and the inner curved surface decreases, but the length of the central axis remains unchanged. Whether using a machine or manual bending methods, the length of the pipe's central axis remains constant regardless of the bend; it is equivalent to the pipe's length prior to bending. In other words, the length of the pipe's centerline after bending is the same as its total length before bending.

Mounted on the base of the automatic pipe bending machine, the bending specification adjustment device comprises two sets of symmetrically arranged adjustment components. Each component includes an adjustment handle, a control rod, and a pressure wheel. The control rod passes into the base and connects via a threaded mechanism; its outer and inner ends are connected to the adjustment handle and the pressure wheel, respectively, with the pressure wheel slidably connected to the base. Rotating the adjustment handle drives the control rod to move, ultimately causing the pressure wheels to move synchronously. By utilizing this patented bending specification adjustment device, the spacing between the pressure wheels can be flexibly adjusted. This allows for a diverse range of bend specifications, thereby meeting the application requirements of current electrical engineering projects in decoration and design. The precision of the bending die is a critical factor affecting the quality of the elbow during the manufacturing process. Beyond adhering to specified dimensions and tolerance requirements, the process necessitates that the appropriate bending die be selected based on the pipe specifications and diameter during actual use. A wide range of materials—such as cast steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys—can be used for production. The product's structure is formed using a combination of a bending die and a guide die, which operate in conjunction with one another. During the bending process, mechanical properties and wall thickness characteristics significantly influence the final product's quality and performance.
