What is a straightening and cutting machine for pipe bending?
Source: Zhangjiagang Huameng Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. Release date: May 26, 2014 Visitor: 275

Professionals in the pipe-bending industry are undoubtedly familiar with pipe straightening and cutting machines. These machines perform preparatory work prior to the pipe-bending process; as the name implies, their primary functions are straightening and cutting.

The straightening unit is designed to straighten coiled pipe—facilitating the subsequent cutting process. Straightening is a crucial preliminary step; proper preparation at this stage ensures the precision of the final pipe-bending operation. Ideally, the straightening units used should be of the same specifications to minimize speed discrepancies.

During operation, the rollers are positioned at a specific angle relative to the movement of the pipe and are driven by a motor to rotate in the same direction. To achieve the required degree of compression, the rollers can be finely adjusted forward or backward. Generally, a greater number of rollers results in higher straightening precision. The straightening process is completed as the pipe undergoes continuous linear movement or rotation under the action of the rollers.

Currently, straightening and cutting machines on the market often operate as separate units: the pipe is first straightened, then removed for cutting, and finally bent on a pipe-bending machine.
