Pipe bending machines offer various operating modes—such as manual, fully automatic, and CNC—and support both active and through-feed methods. They can convert processing data entered by the operator into standard G-code programs assigned to specific program numbers, thereby saving system computation time and enhancing processing efficiency. Featuring a user-friendly interface, the system requires only the input of parameters for each bend—such as feed length, rotation angle, bending angle, compensation value, and processing speed.
When using a hydraulic pipe bending machine for the first time, it is essential to check the mandrel diameter; if it is too large, grinding is required. Additionally, ensure effective lubrication between the mandrel and the inner pipe wall to minimize bending resistance and friction. Appropriate measures should also be taken to prevent issues such as machine vibration. Today, experts from Huameng Pipe Bending Machinery outline the three key factors influencing wall thinning at the bend arc during operation:
1. In the event of cracking on the outer arc of the bent tube, the cause must be carefully analyzed. First, ensure the tubing is in a proper heat-treatment condition; for welded steel pipe, the weld seam should ideally not be positioned in the direction of the F1 and F2 forces—meaning it should not face directly against the clamping die or the bending die. After ruling out issues with the tubing itself, check whether the pressure applied by the pressure die is excessive and adjust it to an appropriate level.
2. Determine the boosting and pushing speeds based on the actual conditions of the pipe to ensure they match the speed of the hydraulic pipe bending machine; additionally, verify that the mandrel's installation lead distance is appropriate, and make necessary adjustments if it is not.
3. Regarding wrinkling on the inner side of the bend, appropriate measures should be taken based on the location of the wrinkle. If wrinkling occurs at the front tangent point, the mandrel position should be adjusted forward to optimize the mandrel's lead distance, ensuring proper support for the tube during bending. If wrinkling occurs at the rear tangent point, an anti-wrinkle block should be installed; this block must be correctly positioned to fit snugly against the bending machine tooling, and the pressure of the pressure die must be adjusted to an appropriate level.
